Quit making me wish I’d written more JLU episodes!

You know what was great about this episode for me, when I wrote it, I wrote it primarily in what I thought was the JLU house style. There were some jokes and some flirting, but it was trying to match the tone the show had established.

Then I get the notes back from the great Dwayne McDuffie and Bruce Timm, “No, no, no, we want this to be a GAIL SIMONE script.” They even quoted examples directly from the dialogue in my comics. JLU, my favorite show at the time, wanted to match ME, not the other way around. That always blows my mind.

The other thing that makes me a little sad is that they had a Queen of Fables story under consideration…I created that character, and would have KILLED to see a Timmverse version. Holy crap!

Jeffrey Combs was a perfect VA casting match for Question, too. I’d never had a voice for Question in my head before when reading the comics, and yet when I heard him? My brain just kinda went “YUP”.
